Want to get more out of your riding? Our Under-30 Rider Programme is designed to help you sharpen your skills, boost your confidence and take your riding to the next level – whether you’re commuting, touring or just riding for the thrill of it.

Through the IAM RoadSmart Advanced Rider Course, you’ll get expert one-to-one coaching from a qualified National Observer, helping you improve everything from machine control to road awareness and effective progress. It’s not about slowing you down – it’s about giving you the skills to ride smoother, safer and with more confidence in every situation.

And it’s not just training.

As part of the KAMG, you’ll be joining a community of like-minded riders. Expect regular ride-outs, social events and training days – including monthly meetups at Brands Hatch plus summer evening rides, Machine Control Days and more. It’s a great way to meet people, explore new roads and keep improving.

Even better? We’ll help fund it.

You pay for the course up front; we refund you 50% of the course fee on completion of our Introductory Day Course to Motorcycling (IDCAM) and the remaining 50% when you take your Advanced Rider test. We’ll also cover half of your contributions to Observer fuel costs (up to 12 rides), making it easier to stay committed and get the most out of the experience.

Who is the Under-30 Rider Programme for?

Riders aged 19-30 with either an A2 or full A licence and your own motorcycle. Your motorcycle must be road legal (taxed, insured and MOT’d) and capable of reaching the national speed limit. You also need to have appropriate protective riding gear. Applications are subject to review and approval by the KAMG Committee.

Why it matters.

Improving your riding skills isn’t just about passing a test – it’s about becoming more aware, more in control and better prepared for whatever the road throws at you. Riders in your age group are statistically at greater risk on the road. With the right training and mindset, you can significantly improve your progress, awareness, safety and control.
